WordPress Migrator "Can not connect to SiteGround WP-migrator plugin at" error
This message shows when the SiteGround Migrator plugin cannot connect to the destination server properly.
If you see this error try to apply the following potential fixes:
- Disable any security plugins like Wordfence on your website. Security plugins can block the SiteGround Migrator plugin from connecting remotely and disabling them should stop blocking the connection;
- Make sure that the permissions of the wp-content/uploads folder are set to 755.
- Remove any restrictive .htaccess rules or reset your website’s .htaccess file to a default WordPress one.
