You can connect your WordPress sites to SiteGround AI Studio and use the specialized AI Agent for WordPress to manage them using natural language.

Once connected, the AI Studio platform can help you edit or publish posts, perform technical tasks with your plugins and themes, and more – all within the AI Studio workspace.

In this article, we’ll describe several ways to set up the integration.

Starting the Integration

There are several ways to start the connection process:

  1. Connectors Page

Go to AI Studio admin and look for your profile settings in the top right menu bar. Click your Profile icon > Connectors.

This will take you to the dedicated Connectors page where you can set up integrations with external services. Click the Connect button for WordPress to start the process.

  1. Agent Info Card

The AI Agent for WordPress will display a Connect option if you open an agent-chat and still haven’t connected your WordPress site.

  1. Connect in chat

If you start any task that needs WordPress access, you’ll see a card prompting you to connect your account.

A prominent “WordPress Authentication Request” card is displayed, prompting the user to connect their WordPress site to manage posts, pages, users, media, plugins, and themes. A blue “Connect” button appears on the right side of the card.

Connecting Your WordPress Site(s)

After clicking Connect, you’ll see a pop-up window where you need to select the site(s) you wish to integrate.

If you have multiple WordPress sites hosted on SiteGround servers, they will be automatically listed for you and you can select all of them, or choose specific ones that you want to manage with the agent.

If you have other WordPress instances that you wish to manage with the SiteGround AI agent for WordPress, you can click “Add External Website” and manually add the domain of the installation.

To add an externally hosted WordPress website, you need to:

  1. Download, install and activate the SG AI Studio plugin on your website.
  2. Copy the provided connection key.
  3. Paste it in the plugin settings on your website.

Click Continue. You will see a loading screen while the system is setting up the integration. After the integration is completed, you’ll be redirected back to AI Studio. Your account name will now appear in the WordPress card on the Connectors page.

You can disconnect it anytime by clicking the Kebab menu (three-dots) > Disconnect all sites on the WordPress card.
